Since 1984 the Society of African Missions has hosted an annual Summer School in Dromantine, Newry, Co Down.  Originally established for SMA fathers on holiday from mission, since then the Summer School has been opened to the wider public.  This year, due to the pandemic the event will be online and free of charge.

The SMA Summer School provides Religious and civil society groups with high-quality, evidence-based knowledge and insights regarding relevant social and environmental matters within a faith context.  Bringing together religious, civil society groups and policy makers, the SMA Summer School supports Religious in their public and prophetic ministries.

This year the Summer School explores the human and economic factors at play in migration, forced displacement and climate breakdown from a faith and social justice perspective.
